Anneliese Fris (Partner, Shelterbelt Architecture), Carol Belanger (Architect, City of Edmonton) Chad Musselwhite P.Eng, (Mechanical Lead, Williams Engineering) and Drew Teal P.Eng, (BIM Manager and Field Engineer, PCL Construction Management) discuss their ideas about where BIM will be in ten years.

27. Sept. 15, 2011 - Ganesh Bala discusses CanBIM's ties to the education community and that the Council is very interested in building a relationship with this community. He states that they wish to identify the areas that are not being tackled and focus on getting initiatives in these areas as an important issue.
26. Sept 15, 2011 - Allan Partridge talks about the efforts of the BSA - Building Smart Alliance and how CanBIM can help with these efforts. Allan poses a question about one of these recent efforts; The Handover to Contractor Protocol - "how can we assure that the Building Information Model has fidelity and that it truly can be used over the entire span of an industry?". Allan provides an example to help address this question. Allan posits that we need to attach ourselves to the fastest moving chariot and commit the resources to this vehicle. Don't reinvent the wheel. CanBIM has a strong voice at the table of NBIMS 2.0 and the future of international and national standards. NBIMS is critical to the future.
25. Sept. 15, 2011 - Allan Partridge - discusses how the Technical Committee works - "members at work". The need to establish specific projects at CanBIM which are headed up by interests groups championed by one individual who can report back to the Council. Using the website to communicate the results of these projects. Allan looks to recruit members for the technical committee.

Sept. 15, 2011 - Allan Partridge discusses CanBIM's efforts to reach out to other organizations, such as; Emerging Alberta Centre for Excellence for BIM, Green Building Council, AEC United Kingdom, Building Smart Alliance. Thomas Strong talks to CanBIM's relations to the NRC - National Research Council and interest to reach out to the Lean Construction Institute and Dan Neufeglise discusses relations with AGC - The Associated General Contractors of America.
