The Canada BIM Council is the business voice of Canada's BIM community. To  help develop that voice, we have created three Committees to take on projects relating to the advancement of BIM across Canada.  Each committee is designed to encourage participation and collaboration within the Canada BIM Council membership.

One of CanBIM's main functions is to develop the standards and guidelines for deploying BIM best practices for the Canadian architecture, engineering and construction industry.  CanBIM is also working close with the Building Smart Alliance (BSA) to share information, templates and standards. In addition to our efforts around the National Building Information Modeling Standard  (NBIMS),  CanBIM currently has multiple projects under development.
