Handover to Contractor Protocol

The CanBIM TC is developing a practice bulletin entitled "Handover to Contractor" This protocol will assist the AECOO community (in particular designers and contractors) to effectively and securely transition the BIM from designers to contractors in a practical and cost effective manner.  This protocol can be used as part of any dialogue on scope and expectations in sharing the BIM. It is fully expected that this document will be fluid and subject to change and improvement as members and the public put it to use.

AECOO (Canada) BIM Guideline:

The CanBIM TC with input from its membership will develop a consistent, coordinated and common way of modelling, managing, interchanging and exchanging BIM data within the AECOO community in Canada. This guideline will be of great assistance to organizations migrating from CAD to BIM, provides a sensible and clear BIM guidance for the Architectural, Engineering, Construction, Owner and Operator industry in Canada.  It will include protocols and procedures for numerous activities using ISO and NBIMS as a core standard:
