Baird Sampson Neuert Architects - Schulich School of Business

Expansion of the Schulich School of Business is driven by a mandate to expand world class research and learning environments with architectural design excellence and exemplary environmental sustainability. Through the use of highly integrated BIM design,  system development and architectural refinement became a symbiotic process.   The design was entirely executed in BIM, integrating half a dozen models.  The facility is currently under construction on a fast track time-line,  utilizing a fully integrated BIM process involving all major contract trades.

HATCH - Barro Alto Furnace Upgrades

Hatch recently completed upgrades of two metallurgical furnaces for Anglo American Nickel in Brasil, with a total CAPEX of $220M USD. Building Information modeling (BIM) played a critical role in delivering the project 27 days ahead of schedule with 0 LTIs. Benefits realized through use of BIM  were an order of magnitude higher than the cost of implementing it.

Provencher Roy - Montréal Tower
Provencher_Roy was mandated to renovate the emblematic Montreal Olympic Stadium Tower, the tallest inclined tower in the world. The project consisted of the design of new curtain walls covering 60% of the curved cantilevered facade. Through an intensive use of digital technology, a collaboration of stakeholders overcame the challenges of existing conditions to deliver an exceptional project.

Lazaridis Hall at Wilfrid Laurier University is an iconic campus landmark designed for academic collaboration and connection with the community. It is also an exemplar of BIM, which throughout the process facilitated an innovative, complex steel and concrete structure with bold architectural moves to reveal an elegant, deceptively simple form.

Stantec - BIM Secure Cloud

Stantec, Glotman Simpson and Nemetz collaborated in BIM 360 Team, a new cloud based platform for Revit to coordinate the design of residential tower for Shape Properties. The three design teams had a lot of internal discussion within each of their organizations to change the nature of the digital sharing agreements to ensure they were secure and ready for the new technology.
