York University - Schulich School of Business
Expansion of the Schulich School of Business is driven by a mandate to expand world class research and learning environments with architectural design excellence and exemplary environmental sustainability. Through the use of highly integrated BIM design, system development and architectural refinement became a symbiotic process. The design was entirely executed in BIM, integrating half a dozen models. The 3 storey, 6,165.5 m² facility is currently under construction on a fast track time-line, utilizing a fully integrated BIM process involving all major contract trades. As a result this new building will act as a landmark and beacon to the main entry to the campus. As the eastern gateway site to the university its design and construction facilitated through fully integrated BIM means th outcome is world class.
York University - New Student Centre
This building will be the new flagship building for our students at York University. It will house a convention centre, multi faith centre, student group offices, collaborative spaces and much needed student social spaces. The building will be 4 storeys and 10,720 m² and will sit on a primary open space and is the terminus for a local road. The BIM process assisted the students in the evaluation of the site, program and referendum to gather support from the student body.
