Rocky Ridge Recreational Centre

Crews began working on Rocky Ridge in 2014 and construction is on schedule to be completed within a three-year timeframe. Construction will be completed at the end of 2017. Following construction completion, the operator requires time to furnish and equip the building, train operations staff and, in general, prepare the facility. The facility is targeted to open to the public in the first quarter of 2018.

Rocky Ridge recreation facility sits within a natural park with views of the city and mountains, tucked between an existing hill that reaches Calgary’s highest natural elevation and a reconstructed wetland. The approximately 284,000 square foot building is designed to complement the surrounding landscape.
