6th Annual CanBIM Innovation Spotlight Awards - Winners Announced
Toronto (November 3, 2020) – CanBIM Announced the Winners for the 2020 Innovation Spotlight Awards today as part of its first ever virtual awards presentation.
CanBIM hosted the show on YouTube Premiere as a Global Broadcast, which allowed the entire international industry the opportunity to tune in and enjoy the show. The 2020 Award was designed by 2019 Design & Engineering Award Winners Stantec. Using digital design and fabrication methods, the team presented a short video outlining the process and inspiration for the 2020 award. The 2020 Award was designed by James Janke, Lead Designer, and Zlida Hijazin Architectural Designer and the project was managed by Joel Martineau, Senior Associate, Senior Business Solutions Analyst at Stantec. Special thanks to the entire Stantec team for the winning design.
Top honours for the night went to Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI) for their submission SQI BIM-PCI, ensemble avec l’industrie du Québec. – winning both the Project Delivery, Asset Management and Lifecycle Award and Best In Innovation Award. The SQI, a public contractor and property owner, is the expert of the government of Québec. By deploying BIM technologies and processes, in conjunction with the Integrated Design Process (IDP), in its numerous infrastructure projects, SQI is playing a crucial role in the digital transformation of the construction industry.
CanBIM recognized industry leaders in the following seven (7) award categories: Academic Award, Digital Products, Digital Supply Chain & Fabrication, Construction Management, Digitalization Strategy, Project Delivery, Asset Management & Lifecycle Award and Design & Engineering. Top honours were presented to the Best In Innovation Award Winner, which is selected from the winners of each award category. CanBIM also recognized its Volunteer of the year with the Industry Trailblazer Award.

6e Prix annuel CanBIM Innovation Spotlight - Les gagnants sont annoncés
Toronto (3 novembre 2020) - CanBIM a annoncé aujourd'hui les gagnants des prix Innovation Spotlight Awards 2020 dans le cadre de sa toute première remise virtuelle de prix.
CanBIM a diffusé l’événement sur YouTube Premiere en diffusion mondiale, ce qui a permis à l'ensemble de l'industrie internationale de se connecter et de profiter de la cérémonie. L’édition 2020 des trophés a été conçu par Stantec, lauréats du prix Design & Engineering Award 2019. En utilisant des méthodes de conception et de fabrication numériques, l'équipe a présenté une courte vidéo décrivant le processus et l'inspiration pour le trophé 2020. Le trophé 2020 a été conçu par James Janke, concepteur principal, et Zlida Hijazin Architectural Designer et le projet a été géré par Joel Martineau, associé principal, analyste principal des solutions d'affaires chez Stantec. Un merci spécial à toute l'équipe Stantec pour le design gagnant.
Les grands honneurs de la soirée sont allés à la Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI) pour leur soumission SQI BIM-PCI, ensemble avec l’industrie du Québec. - remportant à la fois le prix de la livraison de projet, de la gestion des actifs et du cycle de vie et le prix de la meilleure innovation. La SQI, entrepreneur public et propriétaire foncier, est l'expert du gouvernement du Québec. En déployant les technologies et processus BIM, en conjonction avec le Processus de Conception Intégré (IDP), dans ses nombreux projets d'infrastructure, la SQI joue un rôle crucial dans la transformation numérique de l'industrie de la construction.
CanBIM a reconnu les leaders de l'industrie dans les sept (7) catégories de prix suivantes: prix académique, produits numériques, chaîne d'approvisionnement numérique et fabrication, gestion de la construction, stratégie de numérisation, livraison de projet, gestion des actifs et prix du cycle de vie et conception et ingénierie. Les plus grands honneurs ont été décernés au gagnant du prix Best In Innovation, qui est sélectionné parmi les lauréats de chaque catégorie de prix. CanBIM a également récompensé son bénévole de l'année avec le prix Industry Trailblazer Award.
