Summary

Expansion of the Schulich School of Business is driven by a mandate to expand world class research and learning environments with architectural design excellence and exemplary environmental sustainability. Through the use of highly integrated BIM design,  system development and architectural refinement became a symbiotic process. The design was entirely executed in BIM, integrating half a dozen models.  The 3 storey, 6,165.5 m² facility is currently under construction on a fast track time-line, utilizing a fully integrated BIM process involving all major contract trades. As a result this new building will act as a landmark and beacon to the main entry to the campus. As the eastern gateway site to the university its design and construction facilitated through fully integrated BIM means the outcome is world class.
