Reed Munro, Committee Chair

Reed has over 15 years of experience in Virtual Construction and Building Information Modeling (BIM). His focus over the last 11 years has been on 3D coordination and reality capture, which he has applied to all types of construction projects such as mixed-use high rises, hospitals, airports and educational facilities. Reed is heavily involved within the BIM community, participates in groups, attends conferences and speaks at different events including Autodesk University, CanBIM, SPAR3d, eBIMc and cBIMc. Reed believes that collaboration and communication are the key for the Architecture/Engineering/ Construction industry to becoming more productive.

Jean-Philippe Simard, Application Specialist at BuildingPoint Canada. My role is to support our customers, and we have the best solution for our customers. Having deals with many trades in different projects, I can easily identify the key aspect of a successful integration of survey technologies inside a company. With 15 years of experience working in various roles within Geospatial dealer and 2 years with BuildingPoint Canada, I have been a member of the Quebec Land Surveyor Association for the past 14 years and hold a Baccalaureate in Geomatics from Laval University.

Sasha Nikodijevic

Tero has worked with advanced Building Information Modeling solutions for 20 years. After working first as a structural designer in mid 90’s he joined Tekla Corporation. During this time Tero played a key role in both developing Tekla Structures for different areas of construction industry as well as implementing progressive BIM solutions for companies all over the World. After Tekla Corporation Tero joined BuildingPoint Canada as the Technical Manager. BuildingPoint Canada supports design-build-operate lifecycle in Canadian construction industry. It’s customers have many different roles in construction process: structural designers, steel, precast and rebar detailers and fabricators, and all aspects of CIP concrete construction, for example concrete contractors, formwork providers and self-performing general contractors. All striving for more automated design and construction with models being used from early design all the way to automated fabrication and for more efficient, accurate and safe construction with less waste.

Mohammad Delavar

CEO and Founder, BIM Manager Eyes Enterprise (BIM-MEE)

I am a “Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)” scholarship winner for conducting the research on BIM in the sensitive energy industry in collaboration with ATCOEM for last three years. I have actively dedicated my life over last decade on BIM technology development, having diversity set of experiences in the construction industry from architectural design to structural design, construction management and computer application in construction. Over last ten years, I have acted as the design lead and BIM manager in more than dozens of international mega projects around the world in US, Canada, South America and the Middle East. I have been publishing several impact factored Journal articles in BIM on the Optimum Level of Development (LOD), automation in BIM design process, BIM augmented reality; BIM automated material quantification, BIM for the Pre-engineered industry, etc. I am one of the collaborators in the development of “BIM practical manual for Canada” by buildingSMART Canada. I have started the registration process for three patents in BIM related technologies in 2015. Also, I have a professional level of expertise in different computer programming languages such as visual studio and Java. I am currently developing numbers of BIM advanced APIs for Autodesk BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit. I had moved from Iran to Canada in 2010, and I was graduated from Western University of Canada in Master of Engineering in 2012. 


Christian Proulx

BIM Solutions Director, BIM One Inc.

Christian Proulx graduated as a professional Mechanical Engineer from École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2005. He started his career as a 3D CAD Specialist with Creaform and from there rapidly transitioned into working for Verreault in Quebec City. For the last 8 years Christian has worked with Aéroport de Québec inc. He began as a Project Manager for Special Projects during major construction and renovation of the airports terminal in 2007 and 2008. Then as a Manager of the Project Department, he started implementing planning and monitoring processes and built a project department team. When AQi created a planning department, Christian was selected as the Senior Airport Planner and more recently he is transitioning into a Project Management Role. More recently Christian has transitioned into a role as BIM Solutions Director and BIM One Inc.
