Brent Mauti, CanBIM Director,

Global Director, Design Technology, IBI Group

Brent Mauti is currently the Global Director for Design Technology within IBI Group, after a decade of fulfilling a similar roles for CH2M HILL. He is responsible to improve delivery of design services and processes while supporting critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation and maintenance of all firm wide design technology solutions. He provides advanced project level BIM Consultation to identify appropriate BIM Uses, mold BIM Goals, generate a BIM Execution Plan, and ensure accountability for successful lifecycle delivery. He also coordinates a collection of "Global Technology Portfolios" and "Regional Technology Leaders" aimed at achieving global synergy across the firm. Brent is a licensed architect who has focused on BIM throughout his career. He has been involved with major projects such as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Panama Canal Widening. He has presented at numerous conferences hosted by Bentley, Canada BIM Council, IIDEX, Ontario Association of Architects, and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada to name a few. Brent's passion focuses on lifecycle BIM interoperability and cross-platform synergy.

VDC Manager - Eastern Canada, EllisDon Construction

Project Manager, IT Specialist, and Engineering Graduate with a wide variety of business applications. Particularly interested in 3D Virtual Design & Construction and the increasing use of Building Information Modeling within the construction industry. Always interested in commercial construction projects as well as close interaction with contractors and subcontractors.

As Design Manager & BIM Leader at Multiplex Global, Amal Madanat oversees projects to ensure that processes run smoothly and key objectives of the firm are met. Amal appreciates the fast-paced nature of her work and she recognizes that making things run efficiently is about sharing information and knowledge during every step of design and implementation. Armed with experience that spans a broad range of sectors and types of projects, she focuses on the big picture. Driven by keeping up with advancements in industry tools, technology and market trends, she has a keen understanding of what clients need by anticipating future requirements and expectations.

Magdalena Ordyniec

BIM-VDC Consulting Professional, Marketing Committee Chair at CanBIM


Magdalena has over 13 years of international experience in the consulting, construction and project management field working in Europe, Middle East and Canada, specializing in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) in all project phases, from design through to construction. In her role as a VDC Consulting Manager at EllisDon she was responsible for managing business development strategies for the VDC Consulting group within a profit & loss environment, securing new work, creation of proposals, development and supervision of BIM production staff and processes related to the implementation of BIM for various EllisDon’s VDC services. She managed continuous development of BIM standards and project specifications. She worked closely with the scanning and modeling team to ensure efficient data collection, model development, creation of as-builts and BIM-FM integration. As one of the first Certified Professionals of Canada BIM Council she is actively involved in promotion of BIM adoption in the AECOO industry. She supports professional organizations, colleges and universities in BIM implementation by taking part in conferences and networking events.
