Biographie

Principal and Founder. An Entrepreneur, Investor and Technologist, after exiting the Automotive sector, Thomas worked in Project Management, lead Virtual Design and Construction teams, acted as CTO, and co-founded industry non-for-profits. Thomas currently acts on the board of directors for several startups and is the President & CEO of Building Transformations, the National Building Industry Innovation & Technology Organization in Canada.

Ruedi Wagner

Head of Open Technology, Innovation and Robotics - Hilti

At Hilti AG, Schaan, Ruedi Wagner is responsible for the cooperation with startups and explores the use of robotic technologies to augment workers and increase productivity and safety on the jobsite.

A trained geologist and geoinformation expert, Ruedi spent his early career in Africa supporting exploration projects with digital image processing and multivariate data analysis. Following studies in management and economics, he held positions in public and corporate affairs actively driving socio-economic transformation in South Africa. Wanting to make a positive contribution as an entrepreneur, he founded a consulting business in the areas of innovation, transformation and Black Economic Empowerment as well as a music management company to support local artists.

In 2008, he moved to Switzerland where he led the “airborne imaging” business at Leica Geosystems/Hexagon to become the world leader in airborne mapping solutions and one of the world’s leading Geo-Data services.
