You as VDC Data Coordinator (or Data Manager) will:

  • Manage a Common Data Environment called dRofus.  
  • Manage data, data environment and workflow for design-build information of major hospital projects including planning documentation, room data sheets, equipment lists and asset tracking.
  • Work with the design builder to be at the leading edge of data management where all geometric models, non-geometric data, documents and stakeholder inputs are feeding into the dRofus and providing output to other systems through all project stages.
  • Manage data in planning, design and facilities maintenance systems all within the BIM environment.
  • Update and manage Revit to dRofus data attribute configurations and vice versa.
  • Track and monitor the latest design and equipment changes and update dRofus database accordingly.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Design Management Team, BIM Team and Subcontractors of data updates.
  • Assist with defining what data is needed, its purpose, classification and ongoing usage.
  • Prepare and process external data sets (e.g. Excel sheets) for effective upload onto BIM databases and direct involvement in inputting data into the dRofus database.
  • Manage data output format to allow use by other software such as Maximo and required database interfacing.
  • Setup and generate output reports for estimating, QA/QC and Project compliance validation purposes.
  • Understand data management software and provide basic training to support other team members.
  • Understand and work with the design team to provide a comprehensive compliance data validation and workflow.
  • Set up a change management process and output documentation to meet owner requirements.
  • Enforce standard practices and procedures for proper integration and flow of data.
  • Develop a schedule and coordinate with Subcontractors for the upload of their respective assets data to the dRofus database.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Diploma or degree or equivalent combinations of academic or technical experience/knowledge of Design, Construction & Building Operations.
  • Experience on a project with BIM requirements.
  • Experience in BIM and design management and facilities maintenance - preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Understand Revit data parameters, family types, instances, spaces and rooms.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of CMMS
  • Must have: Revit, dRofus & Microsoft Office
  • Assets: Navisworks, Revizto, Synchro4D, Civil 3D, Adobe Premiere, VR
