Seeking Members

As the Think Tank initiative evolves it is expected that there will be a need to form new Think Tanks around new subject matter or process-based initiatives. A minimum of three volunteers are required to start up a CanBIM Think Tank with Board approval. If you are a CanBIM Member and you would like to participate, we encourage you to sign up through the website today!

Goals

  • Support city stakeholders with guidelines & best practices on how to setup a smart vision for their city.
  • Explore how to utilize technology intelligently focusing on improvement of the quality of life of residents.
  • Publish white papers highlighting best practices to collect, analyze, and utilize “BIG” data from real-time city sensors & ICT network.
  • Enhance strategic relationship with Government / Public agencies to leverage the awareness and collaboration to enable smart city innovations.
  • Coordinate with other CanBIM Think Tanks to ensure their findings are properly aligned with a Smart City holistic vision.
