Certification Pathways


Initiated by the Student

Student graduates from certified courses or programs can apply for CanBIM Foundations Certification and receive a designation from CanBIM. Certification fees are covered by the student/learner. Check if your program/course has the Standard tag next to it.


Initiated by the School

Integrated Pathway to Certification (IPC) allows schools and training providers to offer their graduates automatic CanBIM certification upon completion of the program or course. Certification fees are covered by the school. Check if your program/course has the IPC tag next to it.

Certification Levels

CanBIM Foundations certification ensures that industry professionals have attained a level of knowledge and experience that is transferable, relevant, and valuable to employers that are utilizing digital technologies, workflows, and processes.

Applied Learning

Application Process

Submit your Foundations application online. Ensure that it’s properly filled out to prevent processing delays
Receive the invoice for your Application processing fee
Pay your Application fee (non refundable)
CanBIM reviews your application and sends approval by email. This step may take up to 30 days.
Receive the invoice for your Certification (only if approved)
Pay your Certification fee
Receive your digital or physical certification package
Get Certified
